Kendra Kembel

Kendra Kembel is a healing and movement artist living on Treaty 4 Territory, the traditional lands of Nēhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota and Nakoda People and the homeland of the Métis/Michif people. Kendra has a full-time practice in the healing arts, contemporary dance, and yoga. Her inspiration is fueled by a passion to move and transform energies of change at a personal level, focusing on connection to the land, healing relationships for Treaty people, and inspiring young folks to harness their creativity and strength as artists. 

Kendra has been a part of the FadaDance family for eighteen years, as a dancer, parent, friend and instructor. Her work as an artist has evolved over the years to include contributions to the FadaDance Youth Company productions Get on the Bus (2019), Arrivals/Departures (2022) and Rivulets (2023). 

Kendra has also choreographed and performed, To Pass Into, a collaboration with her then 9 year old daughter Suki for New Dance Horizon’s, Intergenerational Festival/House of Dance (2017), Hard Line for Natural Sympathies film project Porous (2019), and in B(reach), a dance film project with Heather Cameron (2022). Kendra’s most recent collaborative dance work is with the Trails Ensemble (led by Misty Wensel & Heather Cameron) that performed in Trespassers Waltz (2020), at the Regina Symphony Orchestra Christmas Special (2021) and in Holloway (June 2022 & April 2023).
