Prairie Brown

Prairie Brown began her dancing journey with FadaDance in 2004 at the young age of five.  Having been a part of the Fada community since its establishment, her passion and skills for creative movement/contemporary dance have grown with the studio.  Prairie was a member of the FadaDance Youth Company from 2009-2018. During this time, she had the opportunity to travel with the Company to three separate “Dance and the Child International” conferences, in Jamaica, Taiwan, and Denmark. She collaborated and performed with not only the Youth Company members, but dancers from diverse cultures, from across the globe.

Prairie first became a teacher's assistant at FadaDance in 2015. She was also a guest choreographer for the Senior Youth Company in 2019. This year, she will be going into her 20th year as a FadaDancer! In the fall of 2022, Prairie interned at Balfour Collegiate in the “Balfour Arts Collective” program and taught dance to grade 9-12 students. In April of 2023, Prairie completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Regina in Arts Education, with a concentration in dance. Dance is one of the most joyous practices in Prairie’s life, and she hopes to share that joy with whomever she has the pleasure of teaching.
