Liz Madsen

Elizabeth (or Liz!) Madsen (she/her) is a spirited dancer and artist from Regina, Saskatchewan. She has loved dancing and music since a very young age, and started taking classes at FadaDance when she was six years old. She has performed in numerous locations and events, such as FadaDance year-end shows, Eden Care Community, dance performances at the Exchange, and Cathedral Villages Arts Festival. She has also been a member of the Youth Company since she was twelve years old, and has performed in shows such as Rhythm Dust (2025) and Unravel & Thread (2024). Liz was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Toronto with the Youth Company in 2023 and learn about the traditional Kathak dance style from the celebrated Joanna de Souza. Liz has been assisting with FadaDance classes for young dancers for the past two years, alongside the talented Anna Woodward and Zoe James, with kids ages four, five, and seven.

Liz is passionate about not only dance, but also theatre, music, and all forms of art. She has been involved with musical theatre since childhood, through school and the community. Liz believes that the performing arts are a wonderful way to connect with other people and express ourselves. Liz is also an assistant teacher for Junior Glee classes and summer camps at the Conservatory of Performing Arts, and aims to foster a love of art in future generations. Liz has attended Campbell Collegiate for the past four years and will be attending the University of Regina’s Faculty of Arts starting in Fall 2025.

As someone who adores music, Liz loves to think of dance as a physical expression of the melodies and rhythms found within music. She is an intentional and groovy mover, and cannot wait to continue working with the Fada team to help kids discover the magic of dance!
