Memphis Shannon
Memphis Shannon is ecstatic to be starting her very first year of teaching at FadaDance in the fall. Although it is her first year teaching, Memphis is no stranger to the Fada community, since she’s been dancing with the company since she was only 3 years old! She dances in both contemporary and technique classes as well as dabbling in hip hop in her early dance career. Memphis has had the privilege of performing in the All Ages Parties, Folk Festival, Arts Festival, and of course, Fada’s Year-End Performances. She was also a part of the FadaDance Troupe’s Youth Company Troupe for 4 years and was involved in shows like Rhythm Dust (2025) and Unravel & Thread (2024).
The arts have always been a second home to Memphis, whether it’s through dance, theatre, or acting, the arts is Memphis’s greatest passion. During her time in high school, Memphis was involved in her school’s QSA, Choir, and Theatre department which inspired her eagerness to create a safe welcoming environment for youth.
Memphis has been a teacher assistant with Fada Dance for the last two years which was an incredible learning experience that taught her critical leadership skills and how to encourage as well as accommodate young dancers. Fada has always had such an incredible environment that helped Memphis grow as a person which is why it’s always been a dream of hers to teach with this studio. She hopes to create fun positive spaces that inspire young dancers to express themselves through movement and dance.
