Suki Kembel

Suki Kembel was born on Treaty 4 land and grew up surrounded by a family deeply connected to the FadaDance community. From a young age, dance became an important form of expression and outlet in her life, growing into a lasting passion for movement, performance, and artistry. She expanded her training through contemporary dance, technique classes, and recent opportunities with the Winnipeg School of Contemporary Dancers.

In 2021, Suki joined the FadaDance Troupe Youth Company, where she grew as both a performer and choreographer. Alongside performing with the company from 2021-2025, she choreographed work for Youth Company projects, performed a solo as an emerging artist, and created pieces for multiple FadaDance Little Big Shows and year-end recitals.

After beginning as a teacher assistant from 2021–2023, Suki continued to grow into a dance instructor of her own. Since 2023, she has taught classes while sharing her love for dance and encouraging confidence and creativity in her students. Teaching has become another meaningful way for Suki to connect with and give back to the community that shaped her. Outside of dance, Suki is currently pursuing post-secondary studies at the University of Regina.
