Belle Brown-McEwen
Belle Brown-McEwen is an emerging dance artist from Regina, Saskatchewan. Her artistic practice, rooted in the prairies, fuses contemporary dance, improvisation, and theatre. Her work is intentioned, emotive, and precise.
Belle began dancing in 2007 at FadaDance Studio, later travelling to Taiwan (2012) and Denmark (2015) with the inaugural FadaDance Youth Company for the Dance and the Child International Conference.
As an emerging choreographer, Belle has choreographed for several Youth Company shows since 2013, including recent work featured in Rivulets (2023), Unravel & Thread (2024), and Rhythm Dust (2025). She has also created work for the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, Nuit Blanche, and JDC West.
As an emerging dance artist, Belle performed with the Trails Ensemble, who were featured in Grand Acts of Theatre: Trespassers Waltz (2020), the Regina Symphony Orchestra Christmas Special (2021), and their full-length performances of Holloway (2022, 2023). She premiered her first solo work, “Familial Ties”, at Unravel & Thread (2024) and the SK Arts: Arts of Celebration (2024).
Belle began teaching at FadaDance Studio in 2013 under the mentorship of Meredith LaRocque, and she has since gone on to teach for the Globe Theatre School and throughout the community. Belle lives a “double life” as a Human Resources professional, and she is always keen for some “Business Time” with FadaDance Management!
